Presentation

This project aims to compare the targeting and redistributive effects of two major public policy options in the area of emissions from passenger vehicles: fuel taxation and taxation on the purchase or replacement of vehicles. This is a major issue, given both the predominant role of passenger vehicles in greenhouse gas emissions and the significant challenges surrounding the social acceptability of climate change mitigation policies.
