Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform users of the Institute for Public Policy (IPP) website about how their personal data is collected, processed and protected, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act.

The IPP attaches particular importance to protecting its users’ privacy. This website collects only the minimum amount of personal data strictly necessary for the purposes described below.

Data controller

The data controller for personal data collected on this website is the Institute for Public Policy (IPP). If you have any questions regarding this policy or the exercise of your rights, please contact the IPP’s communications officer at the following address: communication@ipp.eu.

Data collected and purposes

As part of its publication distribution activities, the IPP offers users the opportunity to subscribe to themed newsletters. When users subscribe, the following personal data is collected: surname, first name and email address. This data is provided directly by the user, on a voluntary basis, at the time of registration, and is used exclusively for sending Publications and news relating to the chosen topics. These newsletters are managed using Brevo software. Users may unsubscribe at any time, either via the unsubscribe link included in each email or by contacting the IPP directly.

The other data collected whilst browsing the website is that which is strictly necessary for its proper technical functioning and for analysing visitor numbers (audience measurement). This analysis is carried out using the Matomo software.

The processing of data relating to newsletter subscriptions is based on the user’s consent, given at the time of their voluntary subscription. The processing of data relating to the operation of the website and audience measurement is based on the IPP’s legitimate interest in ensuring the smooth running and continuous improvement of its website.

Shelf life

Data collected in connection with newsletters is retained until the user unsubscribes. Data relating to audience measurement is retained for a limited period, as required to analyse website traffic.

Recipients of the data

The personal data collected is intended for the IPP and will not be sold, leased or disclosed to third parties, with the exception of technical service providers required for its processing (Brevo for newsletter management, Matomo for audience measurement).

Cookies

This website uses cookies, in particular for audience measurement purposes. Users may view, adjust or withdraw their consent to the use of these cookies at any time via the Cookies page.

Users’ rights

In accordance with the applicable regulations, all users have the right to access, rectify, erase and transfer their data, as well as the right to object to and restrict the processing of their data. These rights may be exercised by contacting the IPP’s communications manager at communication@ipp.eu.

Changes to this policy

The IPP reserves the right to amend this privacy policy at any time, in particular to comply with any regulatory, legal or technical developments. Users are advised to check this page regularly.
