The Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW), the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS) and the Institut des politiques publiques (IPP) will jointly organize a workshop on June 10-11, 2014 in Mannheim at ZEW:
“European Public Finances through the Financial Crisis”
The objective of the workshop is to provide an overview of how fiscal responses to the crisis varied across Europe. The event aims to bring together country experts who will be presenting the macro and fiscal background in their country, provide an overview of fiscal response to the crisis, and analyze if the crisis has been an opportunity for reforms that improve the system of taxation and spending.
