This research project examines whether energy-efficiency renovations subsidised by MaPrimeRénov’ are reflected in the property market, that is to say, whether they are reflected in the volume of transactions and the sale prices of homes. It forms part of existing academic literature on the valuation of properties’ energy efficiency, the findings of which vary significantly across countries and markets. The analysis is based on the linking of several large databases to reconstruct the history of sales, prices and renovation work carried out. It aims to compare trends in sales and prices of renovated homes with those of homes with similar characteristics. A more forward-looking aspect also seeks to examine the effect of regulations relating to homes with low energy efficiency, subject to the limitations of the available data.
