Context

Our researchers will be joining a multi-professional and multidisciplinary team and will contribute their expertise in methods for evaluating public policy. This project builds on the research project evaluating a physical activity programme tailored to older people.

Presentation

This project aims to create a collaborative community comprising researchers, prevention professionals and gerontology specialists, with the participation of service users. The objective is to develop participatory collaborative research projects on non-pharmacological interventions.

A non-pharmacological intervention is an intervention that does not involve medication and which aims to prevent, treat and help people live better with a health problem (e.g. physical activity, mind-body practices, social support, dietary advice, animal-assisted therapy, etc.).

This collaborative effort aims to develop a research project designed in partnership with researchers, professionals and service users. The aim of this research project will be to propose a research protocol to assess the effect of non-pharmacological interventions on the health (physical, cognitive, mental, etc.) and well-being of older people and care professionals.
