The Thémis project builds on the “Trajectories of older people experiencing a loss of independence and departmental disparities in care” project, which ran from 2019 to 2022. It aims to
examine in greater depth the scope for manoeuvre or constraints faced by departments in funding independent living and in structuring the provision of services, with a particular focus on the
delivery of services, intermediate housing and the complementarity between health and medico-social services. Finally, the project aims to provide food for thought on the funding of the fifth branch – “Independence” – within the social security system.
