Every year since 2019, the IPP has carried out an independent analysis of key public policy issues to coincide with Parliament’s scrutiny of the draft Finance Bill.
This initiative is largely inspired by the Green Budget exercise carried out for the UK Parliament by the Institute for Fiscal Studies.
The analyses by IPP researchers are presented to members of the academic community, the media, parliamentarians and the general public at a conference. Since 2025, these studies have also been compiled in a publication entitled ‘Perspectives budgétaires’.
The latest edition took place on 15 June 2026 in the Daniel Cohen lecture theatre.
