Context

The “1 Young Person, 1 Solution” scheme was launched in July 2020 as part of the France Relance recovery plan. According to the Court of Auditors, it represents an investment of nearly 10 billion euros over the period 2020–2022 1. Among the measures introduced, apprenticeships account for the largest share of expenditure and have been a key component of youth employment policies for many years.

Presentation

In France, there are no studies based on the analysis of administrative data that enable the career paths of individuals recruited on apprenticeship contracts to be tracked. The aim of the project is to analyse such data to measure the impact of the one-off grant paid to businesses on the individual career paths of apprentices and on businesses’ recruitment decisions.
