The IPP’s total budget for the 2024–25 financial year amounts to €2,960,000.
Sources of funding for the IPP 2024–2025
The vast majority (85 per cent) of the IPP’s research funding comes from contracts with research agencies, public authorities (the State, the social security system or local authorities, and the European Union) and private-sector organisations (NGOs, associations and corporate foundations).
The IPP also enjoys growing support from its two founding institutions, the Paris School of Economics and the ENSAE-ENSAI Group.

Continuous growth since its foundation in 2012
This gradual increase in funding for the IPP is mainly due to the year-on-year rise in the number of research contracts secured and carried out by its teams.
Unlike its European counterparts (IFS, DIW, CPB, etc.), the IPP does not receive any direct, long-term funding from the public authorities.
Expenditure concentrated in human resources
The vast majority of expenditure relates to the human resources deployed to carry out the IPP’s research projects, the number of which is increasing every year.
