Context

The ANR Admission Criteria project examines the rules which, in school selection procedures, determine pupils’ priorities based on their academic results, their geographical proximity to schools, or social criteria. Using data from the Affelnet-lycée admissions process in Paris since 2008, the project aims to measure the effect of these rules on the distribution of pupils across schools, families’ educational and residential strategies, and inequalities in educational attainment.
