A statistician and economist specializing in the analysis of social policies in France, his research focuses primarily on pensions, disability, and autonomy.
He joined the Institut des politiques publiques in September 2022 to lead a research project on the income of people with disabilities, working in particular on the interaction between disability pensions and disability benefits for adults, the transition to retirement for people with disabilities, and inequalities in the length of retirement spent with or without disability.
Also a senior civil servant at INSEE, he has held various management positions at INSEE, at the DREES (the statistical department of the French Ministry of Social Affairs), and at the General Secretariat of the Conseil d’orientation des retraites. Until June 2022, he served as Deputy Director for Solidarity Monitoring at the DREES, where he oversaw the teams responsible for producing statistics, studies, and simulations covering all areas of social protection (excluding healthcare) and social assistance.
